Metal Sorter - Barnsley Area
Permanent Role
Stafforce is recruiting on behalf of a long-established metals business in the Barnsley area. This is a permanent position with the company, offering a strong benefits package and opportunities for development.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately sorting and identifying metals, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sort and identify various grades of metal
Use XRF analysis equipment to confirm material composition
Conduct visual checks and basic testing
Assist with yard operations, including loading and unloading
Operate machinery and equipment (training provided)
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area
Report issues promptly and contribute to team targets
Requirements
Experience using XRF analysis tools - essential
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in an industrial/yard environment
Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
Previous experience in metals, recycling, or warehousing is advantageous
FLT licence is desirable but not essential
