Metal Processor - Full-Time | £28,000-£31,000
We're on the lookout for a motivated metal processor to join a dynamic team! Training will be provided, but experience with Special/Exotic Scrap or Revert Metals is a bonus.
What You'll Do:
Process, sort, grade, and out-turn incoming materials.
Identify and report any special metal contamination (foreign attachments, coatings, inserts, repair welds - training provided).
Understand and segregate materials according to quality and end-use markets.
Operate a variety of equipment, including shears, guillotines, bandsaws, shot blasters, shredders, and chemical cleaning of turnings.
Work shifts, including nights (with shift premiums).
Report to the Production Manager.
Use strong organisational, written, and IT skills in day-to-day tasks.
What We're Looking For:
Ideally 3 GCSEs at grade C or above.
Metallurgical/Materials qualification is a plus but not essential.
Experience in the sector is preferred to ensure safe working practices.
