Friday: 07:30-13:30 (40 hours per week)

Overview

A leading UK manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Technician to join its modern production facility in the Barnsley area. This is a permanent role offering excellent pay, structured progression, and generous benefits.

The CNC Machining Technician Role requires team players with experience, skills, and knowledge in CNC programmes and parameters. The role requires operating to high quality/workmanship standards within a world-class manufacturing team and facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical support to ensure CNC machines operate effectively and meet production standards.
• Optimise machine functionality and maintain equipment to correct standards.
• Manage program backups, corrections, and maintain historical records.
• Develop recovery procedures for functionality errors and record root causes.
• Liaise with tooling/equipment suppliers to resolve performance issues.
• Conduct audits on operator TPMs and ensure proper equipment care.
• Support process improvements and continuous OEE enhancement.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations and engineering changes.
• CNC ISO programming (online/offline) and macro programming for Renishaw systems.

Experience:

• Ideally apprentice trained with previous machining experience (minimum 3 years)
• Skilled in operating, programming, and recovery systems for CNC machining centres.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, material types, and coolant specifications.
• Experience with Fanuc operating systems and Renishaw programming.
• PC literate with emphasis on Microsoft Excel;
• Previous experience following standard operating procedure for setting up fixtures and jobs
• Awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.

• Monthly bonuses: 195- 350 (average)
• Overtime rates:
  Up to 31.02/hr
