Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with various materials, utilising both hand and power tools to create high-quality products. If you have a passion for welding and fabrication, we want to hear from you.

Duties
  • Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques as required
  • Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Conduct assembly tasks to ensure product integrity
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Skills
  • Proficient in MIG welding and various welding methods
  • Experience with fabrication processes, particularly in sheet metal work
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to understand complex assemblies
  • Competent in using hand tools and power tools effectively
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship

Rotherham – MIG Welders – Starting January 2026

Due to increased orders, our world‑renowned manufacturing client is looking for MIG Welders to join their team in Rotherham in January 2026.

The role of a MIG Welder after training must be capable of operating the machinery to assist in producing products safely and efficiently at all times. They must also be capable of hitting all target figures and follow all instructions given by the Fabrication Manager with regard to the production of MIG welded products during the shift. Keeping the work area clean, tidy and safe at all times is essential.

The role is strictly rotating shifts (applicable only through online application).

The successful candidate will take ownership of their own fabrication tasks, working with aluminium and steel to produce bespoke panels and assemblies. This role is ideal for someone who values traditional craftsmanship, precision, and takes pride in producing work to the highest standard.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and shape aluminium and steel panels to high tolerances
  • Use hand tools and workshop equipment, including English wheel, shrinker/stretcher, and planishing hammer
  • Perform TIG and MIG welding as required
  • Work from drawings, patterns, or templates to build or fit panels
  • Carry out minor assemblies and assist with trial fitting panels to vehicles
  • Maintain high standards of finish and attention to detail throughout
  • Keep the workshop clean and safe, following health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the wider team to meet project deadlines
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
  • TIG welding skills essential; MIG welding experience desirable
  • Comfortable using hand tools and fabrication equipment
  • Ability to work independently on complex or one‑off jobs
  • Experience working to patterns, bucks or drawings
  • A high level of attention to detail and care in your work
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Working days: 7 am – 5 pm (early finish on Friday).
