Overview
We are currently recruiting HGV Days Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a well-established and growing logistics operation based in Barnsley.
Responsibilities- Drive articulated vehicles (Class 1 / C+E).
- Complete a variety of deliveries including store deliveries, RDCs, warehouses, general haulage, trunking, and drop & swap work.
- Support a wider national logistics network when needed.
Early AM scattered starts, with each day going anywhere between 8-10 hours long.
- Any 5 days out of 7
The rate of pay for this position is £18 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).
Role DescriptionThis role typically involves long-distance driving, trunking between sites, and deliveries to major distribution centres, stores, and warehouses. Drivers must follow strict Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations and carry out full vehicle safety checks.
Requirements- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- DCPC and Digital Tacho Card
- Good understanding of drivers hours and WTD legislation
