HGV Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our established client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team on a temporary basis.

Hours:

Shifts across Monday to Sunday. Days  starts) or nights  starts) on an advanced rota basis. Average of 11-hour shift.

Pay Rates: £220 day rate / £240 (holidays included)

Location:

Barnsley, S71.

Job Type: Temporary position starting 22nd November until the end of December.

• Bay work and trunking for major parcel networks.
• Predominantly Royal Mail, with some EVRi work.
• Occasional trunking fridge trailers to Peterborough and back.
• Box or curtain trailers depending on load.
• Expected to assist with loading / unloading when required.
• Mix of cages and pallets.
• All work is subcontractor work.
• Flexibility required to support whatever is needed on shift.

• Minimum 2 years Class 1 (C+E) experience.
• Must be 25+ (insurance requirement).
• Maximum 6 points – minor offences only.
• Comfortable with both cage and pallet work.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Reliable, flexible and professional at all times.

• Weekly pay (PAYE).
• Consistent shifts throughout peak season.
• Straightforward trunking and bay work.
• Support from TRC throughout the assignment.
