Location:

Barnstaple site. This role requires being onsite 5 days a week. Salary: circa £41.5k, depending on experience.

• Operations management:
  Supervise daily activities such as receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Staff leadership:
  Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff; organize shift rotas; and manage performance to achieve operational goals.
• Inventory control:
  Oversee stock levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy; manage stock control and reconcile data with storage systems.
• Safety and compliance:
  Ensure adherence to all health, safety, hygiene, and security regulations and standards.
• Logistics coordination:
  Manage the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, coordinating with suppliers, transport companies, and clients for timely deliveries.
• Space optimisation:
  Strategically manage the warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilisation.
• Reporting and budgeting:
  Prepare reports on warehouse activities and manage the annual budget.

• Previous experience within a similar role.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of and experience with safety protocols and equipment, such as forklift operation.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
