WORKSHOP MANAGER

OTE: £55,000pa

Salary: £48,000pa - £52,000pa + Annual Bonus

Working Hours: 45 Hours per week

Location:
Barnstaple

Benefits: Annual profit share bonus, enhanced pension scheme up to 10%, 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager or HGV Technician with senior experience within the municipal vehicle or refuse vehicle industry.

Responsibilities of a Workshop Manager
  • Supervising and motivating our team of HGV Technicians and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving issues, and providing all necessary information and advice to reassure customers.
  • Supervising the daily timekeeping of technicians and managing authorized absence to ensure consistent attendance.
  • Maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturers and providing technical information to Technicians during repair operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and security within the workshop and surrounding areas.
    • Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Manager
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • HGV Technician experience.
  • Municipal, refuse, or waste management industry experience.
  • Class 1 licence would be advantageous.
