The Role

To provide effective line management to the Independent Living Support Officers, ensuring the delivery of a professional, high‑quality Independent Living Service that adapts to the evolving needs and expectations of customers. The Team Leader will ensure that all necessary and recognised quality standards are met, whilst actively seeking to enhance the service by working in partnership with external agencies that support vulnerable adults.

The

main responsibilities of the role are
  • To provide day‑to‑day management, support and guidance to Independent Living Support Officers ensuring that the service complies with company policy and also its external obligations particularly in relation to health and safety legislation.
  • To ensure the service meets changing customer expectations by regularly seeking their views on the service provided.
  • To participate in policy and procedural reviews to identify innovative methods of working and achieving best practice.
  • To actively encourage and support customer involvement within the Independent Living service.
About You
  • You will have previous experience of working directly with vulnerable people in a housing management environment.
  • You will be experienced in working with a range of external agencies relevant in the welfare of older persons.
  • You will have experience in managing or supervising other people or teams.
