Overview

As a Band 5 Urology Nurse, you will support a variety of consultant-led clinics, including flexible cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, bladder instillation (for both benign and cancer patients), Trial Without Catheter (TWOC), and flow rate clinics. You will contribute to and deliver nurse-led clinics, providing education and support for patients, teaching Intermittent Self-Catheterisation (ISC) and administering bladder instillation treatments. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and person-centred care throughout their urology pathway.

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly Urology Nursing Team. This role is ideal for a motivated nurse with a genuine passion for urology who is keen to develop specialist skills while delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (NMC) who has a genuine interest in urology and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will be compassionate and approachable, with the ability to support and reassure patients undergoing potentially sensitive or anxiety-provoking procedures. Experience in urology, surgical nursing, or outpatient clinic settings is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided, and experience in male and female catheterisation is desirable.

You will be keen to develop specialist skills, confident in working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and have excellent communication skills with a strong focus on patient education and support.

Working Pattern: 36.75 hours per week. Monday to Friday
