Position: Consultant Ophthalmologist with a Special Interest in Oculoplastics

Join our friendly, supportive ophthalmology team at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH), Barnstaple, with some cross‑site work in Exeter, on a 12‑month fixed‑term locum. We are seeking a Consultant with a special interest in Oculoplastics, who has completed specialist training and holds recognised fellowships in Oculoplastics and Lacrimal Surgery. You will contribute to a comprehensive oculoplastic service and support the wider ophthalmology service, including cataract care, through outpatient clinics and the on‑call rota.

You will work alongside a collaborative team of consultant ophthalmologists, oculoplastic colleagues, Orthoptists, and Optometrists, all providing excellent professional support in a highly skilled, multidisciplinary environment. You will deliver high‑quality patient care while benefiting from mentorship and collaboration across both Barnstaple and Exeter sites.
