Your OpportunityOur Barrie office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Insights & Reporting Group and own the following responsibilities:
- Prepare compilation engagements and corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non‑profit enterprises.
- Build effective working relationships with client contacts and respond effectively to client requests.
- Prepare trust returns and trust working papers.
- Prepare tax returns (T1, T2, T4, T5, GST, HST and charity returns).
- Ensure that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, and keep them informed of progress.
- Follow up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etc.

- CPA designation (or equivalent) or working toward your CPA.
- Degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or relevant field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry or relevant work experience.
- Experience with compilations, and preparing tax returns.
- Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- Display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
