You'll play a vital role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations and month-end processes, while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. If you're looking for a stable, full-time role with room to grow, this could be the perfect fit.
- Pay Rate: $60k-$65k/year.
- Location: Barrie, ON
- Job type: Permanent | Full-time
- Maintain Financial Records:
Post journal entries, manage general ledger accounts, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time. - Reconcile and Resolve:
Perform regular bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution. - Process Transactions:
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, and employee expense reports. - Support Reporting Cycles:
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, government remittances, and other required reports. - Audit Readiness:
Support both internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. - Collaborate Across Teams:
Work closely with other departments to ensure financial data is aligned and accurate. - Ad Hoc Analysis:
Provide financial insights and reporting as needed to support business decisions. - Ensure Compliance:
Follow established accounting procedures and stay up to date with relevant financial regulations.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Experience : 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a similar role
- Education :
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) - Tech-Savvy :
Proficient in Quick Books and Excel; familiarity with Sage 50, MS Dynamics, SAP, or other ERP systems is a definite asset - Accounting Know-How :
Solid understanding of accounting principles, month-end processes, and financial reporting - Detail-Oriented :
You have a sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving - Self-Starter :
Comfortable managing your own workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision - Team Player :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
