Manufacturing Team Lead
This Manufacturing Team Lead Position Features:
• Great Pay from $58K to $62K
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise, train, and mentor technicians involved in commutator assembly, repair, machining, and inspection.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure deadlines, safety, and quality standards are met.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support continuous skill development.
Technical Oversight
• Oversee the disassembly, refurbishment, rewinding, machining, balancing, and reassembly of aircraft commutators and rotating electrical components.
• Ensure compliance with OEM manuals, CMMs, engineering drawings, and aviation regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA/etc.).
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Approve inspections, test results, and final work sign-offs within authorized scope.
Quality & Compliance
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, including AS9100, ISO, or internal QMS requirements.
• Ensure all work is documented accurately in maintenance records, travelers, and shop logs.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance during audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Verify tooling calibration, shop cleanliness, and technical documentation status.
Workflow & Process Management
• Plan and manage shop workload, material availability, and equipment readiness.
• Develop and improve processes to enhance productivity, reduce rework, and optimize turnaround times.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, EHS rules, and hazard-prevention measures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication & Coordination
• Interface with engineering, planning, purchasing, and production control.
• Provide progress updates, technical reports, and workforce needs to management.
• Support customer inquiries regarding technical findings, repair status, and shop capabilities.
Required Qualifications
• Technical diploma or degree in aviation maintenance, electrical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aircraft electrical component maintenance/overhaul.
• Strong knowledge of commutators, DC motors, generators, or rotating electrical machinery.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, CMMs, and wiring schematics.
• Understanding of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, military, or equivalent).
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
