Location: Collingwood
Primary Duties:
· Provides consultation, analysis, evaluation and review of problems regarding methods and equipment, material handling, layout and material flow.
· Provides alternative solutions to anticipated or actual technical related manufacturing problems.
· Provides specification for new equipment.
· Generates time studies, charts and reports
· Evaluates and implements projects that reduce cost, increase value and/or improves quality.
· Works with health and safety to design process safeguards and improve team member safety.
· Responsible for training on the process changes.
· Provides assistance in trouble shooting equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production.
· Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles and Minimum Controls.
· Support all new model launch, PFMEA, Control Plan, and TS requirements
· Adherence to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
· 5 to 7 Experience working in a manufacturing environment, automotive experience is an asset
· Problem solving skills
· Interpersonal, verbal and writing skills are necessary
· Leadership Skills
Qualifications Desired:
· Six Sigma training
· Previous Glass experience
· AutoCAD experience
