Reporting to the Supervisors of CNC Milling and/or Turning, the Machine Operator will operate CNC Milling and/or Turning Centers, maintaining specifications outlined in the operation sheets, ensuring that operation is efficient, safe and that product quality is achieved. The successful candidate will able to work shift work as required.

Requirements/Key Competencies
Operate multiple Makino 4-Axis Horizontal CNC Milling Centers with Fanuc controller with minimal supervision and with the goal of progressing to setting upOperate multiple DMG Mori multi-spindle, multi axis CNC mill-turn lathes and Hardinge 2-Axis CNC lathes with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controllers with assisted supervision and with the goal of progressing to setting upFollowing work instruction documentation and procedures to mount fixtures and establish work coordinatesBasic knowledge of cutting tools as well as speeds and feeds are preferredTechnical ability to read engineering drawing, sketches, interpret drawings and geometrical dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)CMM (coordinate measuring machines) knowledge of operation is an assetMust have strong mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometryCompetent in the use of precision measuring equipment and gauges to inspect machined parts and featuresEducation and Technical Requirements:
Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalentTwo years of experience working in a machine shop environment with CNC machines and while working to extremely close tolerances is an assetAnalytical decision making with strong attention to detailAbility to identify, select and prepare tooling for machinesEffective interpersonal leadership and communications skillsAble to work under minimum supervision in a team environment is essentialWillingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experiencePossesses strong organizational skills to ensure completion of paperwork and quality reportsAbility to be organized, self-motivated, dependable, and work well with others in a multi-tasking environmentDemonstrated ability to follow rules and regulations, complying with all Environmental, Health, & Safety Organizational Directives and Instructions and all other Site Directives and Company Policies
