Controller
Location: Barrington, RI | Fully Onsite
Salary: $110k-$130K + Bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Controller:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards
- Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and external accounting relationships
- Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and long-term planning
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting day-to-day accounting activities
Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, CFO, or similar leadership position
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred
- Assisted living, senior care, or healthcare industry experience is a plus
- Experience managing accounting teams and overseeing financial operations
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to work closely with executive management
- CPA or advanced degree is a plus
