Position: Project Manager (Permanent)
Project Manager – Construction / Education – £80m Project – Tier 1 Contractor – Barry

We are recruiting for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a flagship £80m education project in South Wales (Barry, commutable from Swansea, Cardiff and surrounding areas).

This is a senior Project Manager role, working closely with a Project Director and acting as No.2 on site, with responsibility for the successful delivery of a large-scale building project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project management of a major education / building construction project

• Leading, managing and motivating site and project teams

• Managing programme, quality, health & safety and commercial performance

• Client liaison and stakeholder management

• Coordinating subcontractors and supply chain

• Reporting on progress, cost and risk to senior management

• Representing the main contractor on site

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contractor environment

• Track record of delivering construction projects valued at £20m+

• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills

• Solid commercial awareness and programme control experience

• Background in major building projects (education, healthcare or commercial beneficial)

• Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
