About

The Role

Pay Details: Grade 6: SCP – 14 – 19 (£29,540—£32,061) p.a.; £15.31—£16.62 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Main Place of Work: Barry Community Enterprise Centre

Temporary Reason: Families First grant funded until March 2028 – continuation subject to Welsh Government funding

Description: Provide advice and guidance to families and carers, initially by telephone, in line with Families First guidance, relevant national standards, and local and national legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred advice and support for families and professionals, ensuring compliance with statutory and voluntary sector requirements.

About You
  • Experience working in a statutory or voluntary setting with children, young people and families
  • 5 GCSEs grades C and above or equivalent
  • High level of personal motivation and ability to motivate others
