Your job responsibilities
  • Mechanical design and integration of aircraft structures, systems, and equipment (ATA 11, 23, 24, 25, 26, 53).
  • Owning the design lifecycle from requirements analysis to the release of 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Structural and mechanical integration of assemblies such as equipment supports, secondary structures, interiors‑related systems, and interfaces.
  • Development of installation concepts, brackets, interfaces, and fastening solutions in compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Preparation of manufacturing, assembly, and installation documentation.
  • Performing mass estimation and weight optimization, and contributing to weight & balance activities.
  • Supporting stress analysis activities and integrating feedback from simulations and qualification tests (e.g. impact tests).
  • Authoring and releasing Engineering Orders (EOs), including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and installation instructions.
  • Collaborating closely with production, certification, stress, systems, and project management teams to ensure technical consistency and compliance.
  • Providing technical support to the shopfloor and resolving design non‑conformities.
  • Participating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your profile & personality

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, and you have 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and integration within regulated industrial environments, ideally in aerospace.

  • Strong experience with ATA 25 (cabin‑related systems) and ATA 53 (secondary structures) in an aircraft environment.
  • Proven experience working with certification‑driven documentation and development processes.
  • Advanced CAD skills, with Siemens NX (mandatory); experience with CATIA V5, Solid Works, or PTC Creo is a plus.
  • Solid background in the mechanical design of metallic and composite structures.
  • Ability to generate high‑quality 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation using configuration management tools.
  • Experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, installation constraints, and industrial best practices.
  • Exposure to electrical or avionics mechanical interfaces is a plus.

You demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, communicate clearly within multidisciplinary teams, and work with a structured and rigorous mindset suited to regulated environments. You are autonomous, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of complex technical topics, while also mentoring junior engineers when needed.
