Proclinical is seeking an Expert in Science and Technology for Downstream Process Development to plan and conduct scientific experiments that support the development and delivery of drug substance manufacturing processes. The role involves collaborating within a multifunctional team, contributing to purification experiments, and ensuring the maintenance and optimization of laboratory methods and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute scientific experiments to support drug substance manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with multifunctional project teams under the guidance of a Project Leader.
- Conduct purification experiments, including chromatography and filtration techniques.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and infrastructure, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Document experimental results and optimize existing methods for improved efficiency.
- Address and resolve technical challenges, perform safety checks, and conduct literature reviews.
- Manage chemicals and solvents responsibly within your area of work.
- Work closely with team members to facilitate the timely delivery of drug substances.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Strong understanding of biotechnology or related scientific fields.
- Experience in safe handling of chemicals, materials, and laboratory equipment.
- Proficiency in laboratory tools, technical software, and computer applications.
- Familiarity with downstream development technologies such as chromatography or filtration is advantageous.
- Basic presentation and scientific writing skills.
- Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Educational background as a technician with continuing education, or a bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
