Drive Translational Science in Oncology | Biomarker Operations | Clinical Data Excellence

We are looking for an experienced Biomarker Technical Expert to join our client’s translational science team in Basel. This temporary 5-month position starting on December 1st offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in biomarker operations across oncology clinical trials (Phase I–III).
As part of this role, you will provide operational and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of biomarker and translational science strategies, working at the intersection of clinical operations, data management, and lab vendor coordination.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Translational Science Leads (TSL), Clinical Operations, Biostatistics/Bioinformatics, and Data Management teams to execute translational science strategies in clinical trials.
  • Manage biomarker sample logistics and operational processes, ensuring compliance with GCP/ICH standards.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for biomarker operations, coordinating internal and external stakeholders (CROs, lab vendors, and partners).
  • Oversee data management activities, including biomarker data transfer, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Support lab vendor management, budgeting, and quality control of data and timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement in biomarker operations and share best practices across teams.

Your Profile

  • Degree in a life science discipline (BSc, MSc, or PhD) with relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong background in clinical development, precision medicine, and biomarker operations.
  • Experience in clinical laboratory processes, including sample handling and analysis.
  • Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities, with a detail‑oriented and proactive mindset.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within cross‑functional, international teams.
