Senior Pre Sales Solution Architect

My client is looking for a Senior Pre Sales Solution Architect to be the key technical partner for their strategic pharma and biotech customers.

You’ll sit at the intersection of science, data, and commercial teams
, helping R&D organisations design and scale data & AI solutions that actually get used – and deliver measurable value.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic Life Sciences accounts
• Understand each customer’s scientific data, AI architecture, and roadmap
• Translate business goals into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans
• Lead lifecycle engagement from presales through delivery and ongoing optimisation
• Run technical reviews
  , spot risks early, and recommend improvements
• Support expansions, POCs, and co-innovation with Sales and Product
• Deliver tailored demos and enablement sessions to scientists, R&D IT, and leadership
• Work with partners such as Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure to maximise value

• Better stability, uptime, and scalability
• Roadmap alignment and prioritised support

• Scientific background and 5+ years’ experience in Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, CRO, etc.)
• 5+ years as a Senior Technical / Solutions / Data Architect/ Field Applications Specialist
• Experience with R&D IT, Data & Informatics
  , or scientific data platforms

• Python and cloud databases:
  Snowflake
  , Redshift, Databricks, No
  
  SQL
• Big data / lakehouse tools (e.g. Spark)
• Data governance & quality (lineage, metadata, data quality processes)
• Analytics & BI
  :
  Tableau, Power BI, Qlik View and their backend needs

• Comfortable with senior scientific and technical stakeholders
• Strong at solution mapping
  , value/ROI framing, and negotiation
• Clear communicator, confident presenter, strong relationship builder
