Legal Counsel; Generalist), Life Sciences

Duration: 6 - 12 months, with the possibility of extension

For an international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel. This is a generalist role in which the Legal Counsel will advise on sanctions laws, handle a wide range of employment law matters, and draft and review commercial agreements. It is ideal for a pragmatic, hands‑on legal professional with a broad legal background who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Fluency in English is essential for this role.

Sanctions Law & Regulatory Matters:

• Advise on international sanctions regimes, particularly in relation to the supply of pharmaceutical products to sanctioned or sensitive countries
• Assess regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions and provide practical, business‑oriented guidance
• Support internal stakeholders on compliance‑related matters

Employment & International Labor Law:

• Handle a broad range of employment law matters across various countries (e.g., Poland, Brazil, and others)
• Act as a legal sparring partner for HR and management on cross‑border employment issues

Contracts & General Legal Support:

• Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs and other commercial agreements
• Provide general legal advice on operational and commercial topics

• Qualified lawyer or holder of an equivalent legal qualification
• 7–10 years of experience as a Legal Counsel with a generalist focus, ideally within a multinational or regulated industry
• Knowledge of sanctions law, employment law, and contract law is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset
• Comfortable working independently in an international environment
• Fluent in English;
  German is a plus
