Labs Initiative at a Glance

The 360 Labs are a new capability that is currently being built up within the Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organization (pRED ) . The primary mission of this effort is to provide greater access and support for the use of cutting-edge biomedical research technologies by scientists across our discovery portfolio.

The 360 Labs will deliver core scientific technologies expertise and enabling activities as well as facilitate knowledge sharing in close collaboration with our therapeutic areas and functions. Our ambition is to bring to life a thriving workplace environment where your collaborative mindset is as valued as your professional expertise. Our goal is to act as an highly integrated ecosystem supporting research and development working collaboratively and focused on fostering excellence and sustainability.

Together these efforts will serve to increase the speed enhance the robustness and improve the sustainability of our exploratory research and early discovery activities.

The Opportunity

The Flow Cytometry Technology Platform in the 360 Labs Initiative is seeking an experienced highly motivated collaborative and customer-centric lab-based specialist. The ideal candidate will have a high-level of technical skill in cutting-edge flow cytometry combined with a robust background in flow cytometry assay development. You will work with a sense of urgency as a part of a matrix team collaborating with specialists from each of our therapeutic disease areas and functions to propel drug discovery projects forward and will also contribute to the ongoing development and operations of the Flow Cytometry Technology Platform within the pRED organization.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide training and support in the use of conventional and spectral flow cytometry instruments including independent operation of cell sorters;

Oversee complex flow cytometry experiments providing consultation on experimental design (including panel design) optimizing sample preparation ensuring high-quality data generation and supporting the subsequent data analysis;

Collaborate with colleagues on general laboratory operations including instrument quality control maintenance and troubleshooting across flow cytometry lab equipment to ensure high-quality data production;

Embrace continuous learning by engaging with scientific literature to stay updated on emergent technologies and approaches in the flow cytometry field.

Who You Are

You hold a graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Biology Biochemistry Chemistry or a related field with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in a flow cytometry core facility or research lab focused on advanced flow cytometry applications;

You bring deep expertise across the entire flow cytometry workflow from sample preparation to complex data analysis and can independently operate and maintain advanced cell sorters;
