Freedom Network Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Operational Estimator to compile comprehensive estimations in line with supplied documentation and current standards.

As a EHV Senior Cost Estimator, you will lead surveying and pricing for new Connection Projects, managing and delivering accurate estimates efficiently. You will ensure enquiries are handled effectively, with accuracy and adherence to client specifications.

You should have experience working with local DNO networks and/or National Grid projects, including ICP and IDNO connections. Projects may involve scaffolding, trackway, traffic management, materials, plant, equipment, and resources.

• Preparing quotations from specifications and drawings within set time frames
• Conducting site surveys and assessments, evaluating risks and potential issues
• Evaluating options and alternatives
• Checking accuracy and completeness of third-party documents and specifications
• Liaising with procurement to obtain best quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Producing formal quotation documentation
• Collaborating with operational colleagues
• Attending handover meetings to explain project scope, estimates, and assumptions

• Knowledge of Overhead EHV/Transmission installations, conductors, insulators, etc.
• Experience in estimating or delivery roles involving National Grid or DNO/IDNO/ICP projects
• Formal training in Electrical or Power Engineering is advantageous
• Proven track record in providing technical solutions and costing in electrical and civil engineering environments
• Full driving license
