Job Summary
Are you a qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician with relevant practical experience? Join our Estates Engineering Team and play a pivotal role keeping our Trust's critical services running 24/7. You'll be tackling Planned Preventative Maintenance, emergency breakdowns and installations across multiple sites.

Main Duties of the Job What You'll Do- Operate on a day shift actively responding to breakdowns and job requests.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and fault‑finding on generators, fire alarms, lighting and power, distribution boards, boilers, air‑handling units, chiller plant, medical gas systems, calorifiers and hot & cold‑water networks.
Undertake maintenance, improvement and minor capital works on all facilities across the Trust.
- Evaluate and respond effectively to emergency situations, prioritising safety for patients, staff and the public.
- Conduct and document your own risk assessments for medium and high‑risk tasks.
- Ensure strict compliance with Trust policies, statutory standards and health & safety legislation.

- An approved apprenticeship in an electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Work history and supporting information demonstrates an understanding of the importance of effective team working and contributes to team progression.
- Significant relevant experience post‑apprenticeship.
- Recent practical working experience of Electrical/Mechanical systems.
