My client is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage and consolidate the financial reporting of a group of companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards. The role supports strategic decision-making through accurate reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Key responsibilities:
Assist the Group Financial Controller in the consolidation of the annual statutory accounts, including consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, other yearend adjustments and schedules to support.
Ensure appropriate accounting policies are being applied and follow relevant UK GAAP standards.
Monitor changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates.
Assist with the external audits and the team in answering audit queries.
Produce the annual statutory accounts for all non-audit trading companies, and ensure dormant accounts are produced and filed in a timely manner.
Assist in the calculations of business combinations, and goodwill on acquisitions.
Produce the monthly management accounts for the holding companies and overview of monthly management accounts reporting on some trading entities.
Ensure Group Intercompany schedules are up to date and any discrepancies resolved.
Other ad-hoc tasks as required, including system development.
Skills:
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Experience in preparation of statutory accounts
Positive can-do attitude
Strong communication skills
Comprehensive accountancy knowledge
Great attention to detail
Ability to work with sensitive information
UK Driving Licence required
