PositionResource Planner –
Basingstoke
Full‑time, permanent; 37 hours per week. You will work in the office 4 days a week alongside the planning team.

As a Resource Planner you will be a helpful point of contact for customers, contractors and trades staff primarily by phone. You must ensure the most effective and efficient scheduling of appointments for repairs and maintenance using our appointment scheduling system and mobile solutions, in accordance with corporate standards and VIVID procedures.
You will confirm that appointments are attended and completed within set timescales, reschedule jobs when necessary, and keep customers informed.
You’ll provide information that enables managers to monitor compliance with corporate and legislative timelines and standards, ensuring services comply with legislation, professional standards, VIVID’s values, standards, policies and priorities.
As a Resource Planner you will monitor diaries to ensure resources are fully utilised and liaise with other planning teams to draw on trades staff from other areas when needed. You will be comfortable using computer programmes, learn new systems quickly, raise, close and amend jobs on the bespoke system, and assist trades staff with troubleshooting mobile‑handheld devices.
This is a fast‑paced, busy role that requires you to multi‑task, prioritise workload while staying calm and professional, especially when liaising with customers. You should have strong communication skills with a polite yet assertive telephone manner and confidence in dealing with challenging customers.
Qualifications- Previous experience in a similar planning or scheduling role.
- Experience working in a busy, customer‑focused environment.
- Awareness of or experience in the social housing sector.
- Confidence in using computer programmes and learning new systems.
Interviews are scheduled to take place during week commencing 19 January (subject to change).
