Basingstoke, Aldershot, West London, Slough or Oxford - Salary: £34,749 - 40,939 + benefits
- Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time, 37 hours | Onsite

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Primary Asset Inspector to join our team!
Responsibilities- Conduct routine safety and condition inspections of Primary Assets across all plant types and voltages associated with the Distribution Network.
- Perform primary substation inspections, battery testing and replacements, link box inspections, compliance checks, and asset sampling.
- Travel within the region as required; a works vehicle will be provided.
- Use non‑intrusive diagnostic techniques, following ESQCR 2002 standards.
- Collect and document accurate data ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Identify faults in the distribution network, escalating appropriately while prioritising safety.
- Perform routine testing and maintenance of batteries; ensure tools and substation equipment are safe and compliant.
- Take and analyse oil samples from plant equipment to assess asset condition and detect contamination or degradation.
- LV authorisations or working towards with portfolio evidence.
- Experience and familiarity with Primary assets and the ability to conduct condition assessments.
- Awareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- Competence and understanding of Distribution inspection procedures and statutory obligations such as DNO operations and Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.
