Assistant Accountant – Basingstoke – Up to £32,000 – Hybrid Working About the Client

About the Job

This role will support the finance team with core month‑end responsibilities, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career within a fast‑paced and rewarding environment.

Duties will include:
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assisting in the production of monthly management packs and related financial reports
  • Supporting the month‑end close process, including journal preparation and ledger maintenance
  • Investigating and resolving variances and reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with wider finance and operational teams to provide insight and support decision‑making
About the Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar finance role. Strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, as is a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
