Role OverviewAs a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide person‑centred care and support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain independence and quality of life. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, promoting well‑being, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in your care.
Main Duties And Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality care and support to clients in accordance with individual care plans.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
- Administer medication as directed (following appropriate training).
- Carry out light domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or circumstances to the care manager.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols.
- Genuine passion for caring for others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred, but not essential).
- Previous experience in a care or support role.
- Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care).
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control.
Various shifts available, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Both part‑time and full‑time positions are considered.
RemunerationCompetitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and qualifications. Paid mileage.
