Domestic staff provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff and visitors and help to reduce the spread of Health Care Acquired Infections. This role will involve general cleaning in both clinical and non-clinical areas.

• High dusting of walls, ceilings, curtains, rails, doors
• Damp dusting of furniture, fittings, ledges and paintwork
• Vacuuming floors daily
• Deep cleaning of areas and equipment
• Provide enhanced hours for Saturdays and Sundays as well as enhanced pay for bank holidays

Essential

• Good general education at GCSE level or equivalent
• Knowledge of manual handling and health and safety regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, ward staff and Domestic team

Desirable

• Customer care training
• Experience of working in a healthcare environment
• Ability to work well as part of a team
