A member of the HHFT Digital senior leadership team, the Head of Business Intelligence will lead data and intelligence services at a corporate level across HHFT and support the development and adoption of outstanding data services for patients and families. The role will also oversee the Clinical Coding team, and has responsibility for ensuring that data collection and reporting is integrated.
Mainduties of the job The post holder will :
- oversee the strategic and operational delivery of Business Intelligence within the Trust, ensuring the best people doing the best work, with delivery to a high standard.
- work with clinicians and staff to optimise of our data services across the organisation, facilitating the realisation of benefits and the integration of digital care with the Trust’s quality and safety priorities.
- oversee the Clinical Coding function within HHFT
- development and deliver the Trust’s data and analytics strategy through ensuring families and our patients are at the centre of all we do, and staff have the skills and resources required to deliver services to an outstanding standard for patient, contractual, finance and workforce reporting
- ensure close working with research, development, commercial and innovation services, elevating the digital reputation of both the Trust and wider local system through the adoption of game changing digital research and innovation in data and analytics
- ensure we are supporting our workforce with the capabilities required to use data as well as drive innovation in the use of data and analytic services with those who we provide care and treatment to, creating a healthier future for our population.
- maintain excellent relationships and partnerships and senior leaders in the Trust
This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).

- Deliver a high-quality data and analytics service within HHFT.
- Alongside the CIO, to develop the data and analytics strategy roadmap across the Trust.
- Be a transformational leader – one who can drive a step change in our approach to digital healthcare through the development of long-term strategic plans for the organisation.
- Work with key stakeholders to embed a culture of data quality improvement and ‘digital first’ culture across the Trust
- Ensure insight and intelligence is in place to support operational service delivery
- Support the transformation of key services including outpatient transformation, operating services, and patient flow, enabling the maximisation of data analytics across the organisation
