Insight Analyst

SNG (Sovereign Network Group) is one of the largest housing associations in England. We provide over 85,000 homes and invest in communities across the South, West and East of England, including London, as well as building thousands of new affordable homes every year.

We're looking for an Insight Analyst to join our growing Data and Analytics team s is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about turning data into meaningful insight and insight into compelling stories that drive real business change.

This is a hybrid working role with 2 days per week in the office.

• Deliver complex data analysis using internal and external data to generate actionable insights across SNG's customers, assets and services.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, ensuring insights are relevant, auditable and aligned to agreed requirements.
• Use Power BI to create intuitive, interactive dashboards and self-serve insight models that enable customers to explore and tell their own data stories.
• Apply statistical techniques and research methodologies to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop analytical solutions that support customer self-service and informed decision-making.
• Contribute across the wider Data and Analytics function, supporting reporting, insight and continuous improvement initiatives.

• In-depth experience with analytical tools including Power BI (DAX and M), R and/or Python, and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Strong ability to communicate insights through data storytelling.
• Detailed knowledge of statistical techniques and research methods.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
