IdAM Engineer

A global leader in digital transformation and IT services is seeking an experienced Identity Access Management (IdAM) Engineer to join their dynamic team and deliver cutting‑edge solutions. In this role, you will work closely with delivery teams and collaborate within a multi‑skilled environment to own the delivery of work packages throughout their lifecycle. You will ensure solutions meet both functional and non‑functional requirements, reporting directly to the Solution Owner.

As the IdAM Architect, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining High‑Level Designs (HLDs) and Low‑Level Designs (LLDs), along with supporting documentation. You will ensure all designs pass governance and review gates, while managing ongoing changes in response to evolving user requirements.

This is an initial 6‑month contract based in Basingstoke and due to the nature of the work it will be based onsite. The successful candidate will need to have active DV Clearance. The daily rate for the role is up to £750 per day via an Umbrella company (inside IR35).

• Own the design and delivery of IdAM work packages throughout their lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain HLDs, LLDs, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with governance and control gates.
• Provide subject matter expertise on IdAM tools and integration within client systems.
• Lead ongoing change management for IdAM solutions based on user needs.
• Collaborate with multi‑skilled teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

• Extensive experience in Identity and Access Management technologies.
• Strong knowledge of IdAM standards and identity governance, including Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) and access request workflows.
• Proven ability to design and maintain IdAM documentation (HLDs/LLDs).
• Expertise in MS Windows Enterprise technologies and architectures.
• Proficiency in Power Shell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with automated testing mechanisms using on‑prem tooling.
• Experience with agile delivery methodologies
