The RoleThe IT Apprentice will support the delivery of high‑quality IT services across the organisation. The primary focus of the role is to assist with first‑line technical support through the service desk, ensuring incidents and requests are logged, managed, and resolved efficiently. In addition, the apprentice will contribute to the organisation’s digital transformation by helping convert operational IT knowledge into AI‑driven support assets.
ResponsibilitiesService Desk Support
- Provide first‑line support to employees via telephone, email, and ticketing system.
- Log, categorise, and prioritise incidents and service requests accurately.
- Troubleshoot common IT issues including user access, Microsoft 365, hardware faults, and connectivity issues.
- Escalate tickets when required.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Capture repeatable solutions and procedures.
- Support the creation of knowledge base articles.
- Identify recurring ticket types suitable for automation.
- Assist in developing and training AI agents.
- Test AI‑driven tools and provide feedback.

- Essential – An interest in IT and Technology
- Essential – Strong communication skills
- Essential – Problem‑solving mindset and detail‑oriented.
- Basic Windows OS knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
- Exposure to scripting.
- Interest in AI and automation.
