The role:
- You’ll join either our iOS, Embedded Systems or Cyber Development teams.
- You’ll be assigned a mentor and over the course of an initial 12 weeks you’ll develop team-specific knowledge and skills.
- Afterwards, you will conduct vulnerability research, reverse engineer systems and build tools and proof of concepts for a variety of platforms, backed by a global team of world leading experts.
- You’ll use common VR toolsets such as fuzzers and reverse engineering tools; as well as having access to custom tooling built in-house and developing your own!
- You’ll need to present your findings in a useful and accessible way to others.
- You’ll have access to internal and external training and conferences to refine and hone your skills.
- You’ll have very few meetings; we work on challenging technical problems and allow people to focus on this!
- You’ll initially be based onsite in our Basingstoke office where team members and other new joiners are available to support you day to day.
- Passionate about low level computing and system internals, such as language runtimes and memory management
- Existing interest and knowledge in one of the hiring teams or vulnerability research and exploit development in general is a positive (for instance, if you’re interested in Embedded Systems you might have experience in microcontrollers, FPGAs or other similar low-level electronics). We don’t expect you to have worked in the field before but hobby projects, CTF challenges and general hackery means you’ll fit right in!
- A capable programmer in at least one language with exposure to others, and excited to pick up and learn whichever language is required for the task at hand.
- In your final year of university (typically seen as the 3rd year of undergraduate studies, or the final year of a postgraduate degree) or a recent graduate
- All applications must be eligible for a DV UK Government security clearance.
