Working alongside other Business Services Managers and reporting to the Head of Performance Assurance and Business Services, you'll make sure our services meet high standards and provide real value to colleagues and customers. You will:
Assess and allocate resources to meet the region's administrative support needs. Ensure customer-facing administration, including correspondence and enquiries, is delivered accurately and professionally. Provide management support across key administrative processes and produce timely reports and documentation to inform decision-making. Lead and develop your team, monitoring performance and fostering a culture of high standards and continuous improvement. Promote health, safety, wellbeing, and best practice across all service activities.
About you. Proven experience managing successful teams in a shared or business services operational environment. Strong customer focus and ability to deliver high-quality service. Excellent organisational and all round verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office with ability to produce and maintenance of a range of complex documents and spreadsheets A flexible and collaborative approach, with proven stakeholder management skills.

We address over 39,000 customer enquiries every month, plan and deliver all maintenance activities on the network, drive efficiencies and improvements across our systems and roads, and respond to incidents across 4,500 miles of motorways and major A-roads that we manage. All to make sure National Highways customers have safer, smoother, and more reliable journeys. External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
