The PCB Assembler Role

Orion is proud to be supporting TechPoint, one of the UKs largest independently owned electronics and components manufacturers, in their search for a PCB Assembler to join the team at their brand-new, world-class facility in Basingstoke.

PCB Assembler Role

Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 &
3)
Using X-Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints
Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures
Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines
Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately
Using the companys computer-based system to record production notes and log time
Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards

Experience of the PCB Assembler

Desirable Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards
Essential Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
Essential Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
Essential Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
Desirable Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
