Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal - Term Time

We are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon to join our long‑standing, tight‑knit, friendly team at GP Vets.

Salary is estimated at £51,708 per year for a part‑time role, with the potential to grow to £75,000 DOE in a full‑time position.

We offer a flexible schedule that can be reduced or paused during half‑term, Christmas, Easter and summer breaks, and we consider reduced working days and flexible hours to suit your personal needs.

Other benefits include a welcome bonus of up to £5,000, relocation allowance of up to £5,000, visa sponsorship, and one month of accommodation.

You will be based at our practice in Basingstoke, working alongside three experienced veterinarians, a skilled nursing team and a support team of receptionists.

We welcome applicants with a medical or surgical bias and case experience; CPD certificates are actively encouraged and supported.

Our caseload mainly consists of small animals, with occasional exotic species for those interested.

We provide a supportive environment, encouraging professional growth, and offer space to bring your dog to work.

Our practice is ISFM accredited, Silver‑rated for cat friendliness, and is equipped with Digital X‑Ray, Idexx Pro Cyte One , Catalyst, a brand‑new ultrasound machine and dental radiography.

We are based in Basingstoke, close to the M3/M4, within 45 minutes of Heathrow and only an hour to the south coast, and a 40‑minute train to London.
