Pay: £15.60 pa
The Role
We are seeking a confident and experienced SOC Alarm Response & Investigations Controller (AR&IC) to support the delivery of physical security services across the VE region. Working alongside the VE SOC Lead, you will act as a first point of contact for all physical security emergency escalations, taking ownership of incidents and supporting timely, well‑judged decision‑making.
Main Responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact for physical security emergency escalations, supporting accurate and timely decision‑making and escalation.
- Manage and operate VE SOC systems, overseeing alarm responses, communications, officer tasking and incident tracking on a 24/7 rotation.
- Take ownership of incidents from activation through to resolution, ensuring issues are addressed openly, promptly and professionally.
- Supervise, task and direct deployed security officers and resources across the VE regional portfolio.
- Provide out‑of‑hours operational support and guidance to UK sites, ensuring compliance with security service requirements.
- Support the SOC Lead with investigations and the production of clear, accurate incident and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with all company and client processes, procedures and protocols.
- Maintain effective control room operations including access control, patrol coordination, CCTV monitoring and emergency response.

- Proven experience supporting the management of incidents involving multiple agencies or stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and act decisively under pressure in incident or crisis situations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a systematic and structured manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the production of concise reports.
- Experience operating within a technologically advanced control room environment using integrated security and CCTV systems.
- Strong customer service skills supported by confident communication and advanced IT capability.
- Proven reliability with high standards of punctuality, attendance and personal presentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, promoting equality, diversity and an inclusive environment.
- Valid SIA Licence.
- First Aid at Work Certificate.
- ILM Level 2 (or equivalent) Management qualification.
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
