Family Help - Safeguarding Team

Social workers £42 per hour

Hampshire County Council is recruiting Children's Social Workers for their Family Help Safeguarding Teams in Andover, Basingstoke, Fareham & Gosport, and Alton, Hampshire.

• Have a mixed caseload of families spanning early help and children in need.
• Work collaboratively with families alongside our Family Practitioner.
• Operate within a defined local geographical area.
• Build links with partner organisations within local communities.
• Apply knowledge of child protection legislation and issues, including substitute care.
• Assess risks, protection and social care needs of individuals, carers and families.
• Undertake joint assessments to ensure all risks are considered.
• Take appropriate action in conjunction with other agencies and within the legal and statutory framework to protect vulnerable people.
• Monitor, review and re‑assess care packages and services against identified risks.

• 9‑day working fortnight.
• Annual leave: 25 days per annum.
• Personal assistant to provide back‑office support.

• £42 per hour umbrella rate.
