McDermott International, Ltd is hiring a Construction Senior Superintendent to lead projects, mentor teams, and enhance productivity across the fabrication discipline.

The Construction Senior Superintendent position demands a comprehensive understanding of construction principles, workforce leadership, and familiarity with compliance, risk management, and logistics. The role leverages industry experience to drive productivity, mentor others, influence company‑wide processes and policies, and resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues that affect project delivery and success.

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for multiple construction projects within the fabrication discipline to ensure alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Champion a culture of safety excellence, ensuring that all projects adhere to the highest HSE standards and practices, fostering a zero‑accident work environment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other senior staff to optimize construction processes, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Ensure that all aspects of the construction process, including workmanship and materials, comply with stringent quality assurance and control standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of construction superintendents and other construction personnel, promoting leadership development and operational best practices.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of detailed project reports, maintaining accurate records for compliance, auditing, and historical data purposes.
• Lead by example to instill accountability, professionalism, and dedication within the construction team.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to address construction challenges and maintain project momentum.
• Plan activities for the upcoming eight weeks, assign personnel, and create integrated schedules to enhance productivity.
• Approve erection sequences and constructability with engineering support.
• Participate in yard layout meetings and support the General Superintendent to keep layouts updated and optimized.
• Own and enforce compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures.
• Ensure employees understand their responsibilities and authority related to policy implementation.
• Ensure timely completion of all mandatory training for themselves and their teams.

• Advanced degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; additional professional certifications are highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in the construction industry, with significant leadership in managing large‑scale, complex fabrication projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern construction methodologies, equipment, and best practices specific to the fabrication sector.
• Proven track record of effective HSE management, with advanced safety qualifications preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring, managing, and coordinating large teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and decisive problem‑solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
• Adaptability to evolving project requirements, willingness to work in various locations, and commitment to irregular hours when necessary.
• Minimum experience in at least two subsea fabrication projects.
