The EHS Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all safety and environmental programs within the appliance manufacturing facility. Your primary goal is to protect employees from electrical and mechanical hazards while ensuring the plant meets all local, state, and federal environmental regulations (e.g. ISO 14001). While the EHS Manager focuses on strategy and high-level compliance.
Responsibility:- Electrical & Operational Safety
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO):
Establish and audit rigorous LOTO procedures for high-voltage testing stations and heavy assembly machinery. - Electrical Hazard Management:
Conduct regular inspections of energized testing areas, focusing on arc flash prevention, grounding, and insulation. - Machine Guarding:
Ensure all fabrication equipment (stamping presses, plastic injection molding, etc.) is equipped with updated light curtains and physical guards.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO):
- Environmental & Chemical Management
- Hazardous Materials:
Manage the storage and disposal of chemicals used in the manufacturing process. - Waste Streams:
Oversee the recycling and disposal of "e-waste" (defective PCBs, wiring) and scrap metals (steel, aluminum). - Emissions & Permits:
Monitor air quality and emissions from paint lines or plastic curing processes to maintain compliance with EPA standards.

- Assembly Line Ergonomics:
Conduct ergonomic assessments for repetitive tasks like wire harness installation and heavy lifting of finished units. - PPE Oversight:
Determine and enforce the use of specialized PPE, including ESD gear and insulated gloves for live‑circuit testing. Control and monitor PPE Purchase. - Safety Culture:
Lead "Toolbox Talks" and safety committees to foster a proactive reporting culture. P2K3 Meeting. - Audit Readiness:
Audit related EHS, conduct internal ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits to ensure the facility is ready for third‑party certifications and regulatory inspections and external audit for all related with EHS.
- Assembly Line Ergonomics:
- Monitor ALL EHS operation’s needs, the new national regulation to implement at factory, RKL‑RPL; report regular EHS inspection, duty and traffic accident report, and follow up.
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, or electrical engineering and minimum 6 years’ working experience in the same position.
Strategy, budget, and legal liability, policy creation and agency reporting, analyzing trends, contractor safety management system.
Deep knowledge of safety standards general industry, familiar with NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace), experience with EMS (Environmental Management Systems) and reporting software, experience with sustainability.
Certified with K3, ISO 45001 & 14001 Internal Auditor, First Aid, K3 Lingkungan and K3 Electrical.
Fluent in English, solid skill for Microsoft office (word, excel, power point, etc.), seek for continuous improvement.
Good interpersonal communication and influence skills, problem solving skills, ability or logic to assess problems and take the appropriate course of action, able to handle multi‑task and perform well under pressure.
