POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for working in a group environment evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCY
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical science, preferably mechanical engineering, with minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the electronic & automotive industry.
- Must possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to work hands‑on.
- Must be familiar with process design, risk reduction & reverse process failure mode analysis (PFMEA), Control Plan (CP), Lean manufacturing concept, problem‑solving analysis, error proofing and APQP.
- Passionate, dynamic engineer dedicated to excelling at meeting customer satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills focused on continuous improvements.
- Possess Six Sigma green belts – advantage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design process and set up production lines, develop fixtures with external suppliers. NPI includes mass production.
- Evaluate, improve process capability, line balancing and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Support maintenance in machine repair and problem resolution as required.
- Write, maintain and update live PFD, PFMEA, CP & work instructions.
- Lead problem‑solving analysis with related members.
- Maintain and keep working area to meet environmental requirements and regulation compliance.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
