Cold-Formed Steel Design Engineer​/Calculation Review Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) Design Engineer based in Indonesia to join our engineering team in Batam. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the analysis and design of cold-formed steel structures, with a primary focus on executing and reviewing complex design calculations to ensure structural integrity, efficiency, and full compliance with both local and international standards.

• Perform detailed structural design calculations for various cold-formed steel components and systems (e.g., wall studs, floor joists, roof trusses, purlins, girts, bracing).
• Review and verify structural calculations prepared by internal teams or external consultants, ensuring accuracy, project-specific compliance, and alignment with applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct advanced structural analysis using specialized software to optimize CFS designs for strength, serviceability, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive calculation reports and technical documentation to support design decisions and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and multidisciplinary engineers to integrate CFS structural designs effectively within overall project plans.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout design, fabrication, and construction phases.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, software developments, and best practices in cold-formed steel design.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or closely related field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience (adjustable) specifically in cold-formed steel structural design and calculation review.
• Proven expertise in performing and reviewing complex structural calculations for CFS.
• Advanced user of structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, RISA-3D, Frame
  
  CAD, etc).
• Strong knowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards (e.g., AISI S100, SNI, Eurocode 3 Part 1-3 – adjust as required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English is highly preferred.
