You will be joining a long-established regional main contractor known for delivering high-quality construction, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across the South West. With over a century of experience, they specialise in technically complex schemes across sectors such as commercial, heritage, public buildings, education, and residential. Their reputation is built on craftsmanship, collaborative working, and delivering projects with precision and care.

As Site Manager, you will take daily responsibility for managing site activities, subcontractors, H&S compliance, quality standards, and programme delivery. This is a live city-centre project with a mix of structural refurbishment, internal reconfiguration, and high-end finishes, requiring someone confident in managing complex building environments.

• Manage day-to-day site operations and coordination of subcontractors.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to high-quality standards.
• Oversee refurbishment, structural alterations, internal fit-out, and compliance works.
• Manage fire-safety related enhancements across the building.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce H&S procedures.
• Maintain daily site records, progress reporting, and QA documentation.
• Liaise closely with the project manager, client, consultants, and local stakeholders.
• Contribute to effective sequencing, logistics planning, and problem-solving.

• First Aid at Work – Essential
• Proven experience managing refurbishment and fit-out projects
• Strong understanding of building compliance, sequencing and finishing standards
• Ability to lead teams, drive programme, and maintain excellent site organisation
• Experience on commercial or city-centre projects highly beneficial
