40 per week

A mixed private school for both boarding and day pupils. Situated in Bath, Somerset. Catering for 750 students and teachers daily, we offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, supper and evening snack. Lots of hospitality at this location. This is a term-time plus contract, working 48 weeks. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern would be 5 out of 7.

We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Bath.

You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Can do attitude.
• Organisation Skills.
• Knowledge / competencies.

Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.

Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.

Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
