Lead Software Engineer (Front End – React.js / Typescript) – Bath (Hybrid) – E-commerce

Location - Bath/Hybrid

We’re seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer to guide a small team, champion technical excellence, and support their professional growth. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to deliver outstanding digital work, combining hands‑on problem solving with strategic thinking, and continuously improving how the team operates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Front End engineers (remaining hands on)
• Shape technical approaches across projects
• Improve processes and ways of working
• Contribute to planning, estimation, pitches, and RFPs
• Participate in client workshops and hiring
• Collaborate with senior leaders on team direction

What You’ll Bring

• Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience
• Experience in fast-paced delivery environments
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
• Accessibility best practice knowledge
• Familiarity with Agile, Git, testing practices, and API integrations
• A passion for learning, collaboration, and modern web technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with React Native, Node.js, GraphQL
